T-Tagger and X-Tagger Labelling Systems to be presented at the Empack den Bosch
(Mar. 5th, 2009) Friedrichshafen. – At this years packaging trade show Empack den Bosch 2009 in the Netherlands April 1-2, Ramko will be presenting two new labelling systems the - the T-Tagger and X-Tagger. The two new systems enable the user to quickly label hang tags on various self-service retail products such as kitchen utensils, tools and bathroom accessories.
Ramko aquires MDM Inc.
(Sept. 29th, 2008) Archdale, NC. – Ramko Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire MDM Inc. MDM is the world's leader in tag attaching machinery and a leading innovator of automated packaging solutions. Since 1975 MDM has been a close partner of Avery Dennison (AVY) playing a pivotal role in helping to expand Avery's line of fastening products. "The North American sustainable packaging market is expanding strongly and has a very large growth potential for our equipment" says Bernd Hess, President, RAMKO USA Inc. "The acquisition of MDM will booster our position as the #1 global solution provider for Avery Dennison Products. North Carolina, as an operational hub, will streamline our operations because it ranks 6th in manufacturing in the entire U.S. and is #1 in the Southeast. The proximity to world class port facilities will enable us to easily service Europe and Asia from this new facility." MDM's product range, which consists of tag attaching equipment and packaging machines, will complement Ramko's line of packaging systems for retail products and industrial applications (Elastic Staple, EHD). For Ramko, whose international headquarters are in Germany, this acquisition opens the door for further expansion in the North American market and will strengthen, of course, its global position in the packaging sector. Ramko to open new office near Chicago
(June 19th, 2008) Los Angeles,CA. Ramko is proud to announce that they have finalized plans to open a new sales office near Chicago in Mount Prospect, Il. The Chicago sales office will open in December 2008 and will be headed by Key Account Manager Jim Redding. The new sales office will focus on the territories of Canada, the Midwest and the north eastern United States. The addition of the Chicago office underlines Ramko's determination to further expand its U.S. operations on its way to becoming the premiere source for Elastic Staple equipment and automation. (May 5th, 2007) Ramko Ltd. recently opened its doors to the Asian market. With offices in Guangzhou, China and Hong Kong, Ramko plans on instensifying its promotion across Asia of automated solutions for Avery Dennison Fastener products. Leon Yu is the regional Sales Manager.
