Ramko was founded in 1981 as part of the Braun Group, which has over 85 years of experience in machine and mould construction for the heavy clay industry. In addition to our manufacturing facilities in Friedrichshafen, Germany, Ramko has 100% owned subsidiaries in the USA (Archdale, NC) and China (Hong Kong & Guangzhou).
Ramko started as a leading manufacturer in automated fastening systems offering both a range of standard solutions for various industries and fully customized packaging machinery. Our solutions focus around the Elastic Staple™ System, the EHD (Extra Heavy Duty) System, the Plastic Staple® System and the MicroPin™ system as well as printing / labeling solutions. We service many retail industries (see Industry Solutions), as well as the Automotive and Mattress industries.
Due to customer demand, Ramko opened a new division in Jan 2006 using our China operation to supply trims (for the fashion industry) and packaging materials. As packaging has become increasingly important, more of our machine clients were looking for innovative, eco-friendly and cost effective materials. Through our China team, Ramko has developed a full range of packaging solutions including printed gift boxes & cards, plastic boxes & cards, non-woven & woven fabric bags, tins & wooden items. Our focus is on functional, innovative and custom productions, which are very cost effective using our extensive factories' facilities in China. Our customers have trusted the Braun Group quality standards for almost a century and this forms a key part of our service level in China.
In addition, Ramko offers consultancy services for the development of new packaging materials and automations using our global team of experts and partners. Through our own contract packaging services, we can also offer many outsourcing possibilities. To support our clients, Ramko also distributes a wide range of consumables, accessories and replacement parts for all the packaging systems we distribute and also make custom solutions for our clients using our in-house engineering team.
